Nail the Interview
First things first, the two most important things you need when you walk into an interview are confidence and a smile. Next, Coco Channel said it best, "Simplicity is the keynote of all true excellence." That means you do not need to go in with a huge flashy outfit, just be simple and classic. A few key things not to wear to an interview:
1. Don't wear anything too exposed
2. If your top is sleeveless wear a light sweater or coordinating blazer
3. Don't wear anything so tight it looks like its painted on
4. If you choose to wear a skirt. Ask yourself if you'd wear it in front of your dad, grandma or to church; if the answer is no, don't wear it
5. Make sure your hair and make up is done and you smell nice
6. Don't forget to always bring 3 copies of your resume just in case
A breakdown of my outfit today is a simple little chiffon white top, fun linen pants with pom poms and a light sweater to top it off. You can put an outfit together like this for a very reasonable price. You don't always have to spend all kinds of money on an outfit.
Remember that no matter what job you are going into an interview for to be confident in who you are and if you don't get that job to just keep trying.
