Week three in New York, wow has the time flown. I fall in love with New York more and more every day, I think I may never leave. This week was a little tougher than usual though, my allergies made me a little sick at the beginning of the week and then yesterday I slipped in the rain and had a very bad fall.
This week Hope and I tried two new coffee shops:
1. Greggory's Coffee: I got a Peanut Pleaser energizing shake and really loved it, but hope wasn't sold
2. Idea Coffee: we both agreed they had great coffee, but outrageous prices--more expensive than Starbucks!!!!
We tried a few New Places for lunch and Dinner this week that we highly recommend:
Potbelly Sandwich Shop
Tavern on the Green for Brunch: If you are looking for something boujee and very "gossip girl" I highly recommend
Corner Cafe
NY Pizza Supreme: Its only about a block from FIT so its perfect for a quick dinner bite and so delicious
Woodpecker: Very cool, the burgers are served on English muffins which was strange but good
Lazzara's Pizza: HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend and "the absolute best cannolis" -Hope
Shake Shack: Hope was a first time Shake Shaker but said it was fantastic, I tried the new nuggets and I was pleasantly surprised.
This week at my internship I helped a lot with matching Pantone colors to prints. We got samples from the factory this week from the prints I worked on in my first week, we went though and looked how true the fabric print was to the original design, we approved most of them and told the factory to revise the color on a few. I also helped set up a new package for the factory and pick most of the Pantone colors for those samples. This week was also national sewing machine day and we have a beautiful old singer machine in the office and I took a picture with it and turns out it was my boss's moms machine, he loved the picture. It also got featured on the singer sewing machine page. I know you all know I have a schedule for my outfits for the week. Blazer Thursday is one of my favorite days of the week, Amber one of the designers at Babyfair found out and wore a blazer by accident on Thursday. She walked in and said well I hear its blazer Thursday, I was embarrassed but we ended up taking a picture together.
Don't worry we had a lot of fun this week too! We got to see sweet Gigi, we went to our first sample sale, went to Central Park, the Met--CAMP, got my Auvi-Q since I'm allergic to sesame seeds. To hear more check out our VLOG this week!!
