Coffee Adventures
This week we got to go on quite a few coffee adventures and they did not disappoint! We had to share!
First up, we went to Think Coffee. There are several Think Coffees around the city, we found a hole in the wall one on 32nd street. It was fantastic and the vibe was to die for. I got a Dulche de LeChe Coffee with oat milk-very good.
Next, we went to Cafe Grumpy-no surprise there. We got the Honey Oat Lates again, but I tried the hot instead and it was just as AMAZING!
We went to 27 Morton for brunch and ended up getting coffee and not only was it delicious but it was beautiful and so was the restaurant.
We went to Coffee 'n Shoes because what designer and coffee lover wouldn't? The coffee was good, but it was really about the experience. More than anything I was disappointed I couldn't have Kate Spade put on my coffee. :(
Fun Foods
This week we not only had amazing foods and venues, we also had the most amazing treats along the way.
Best Venue Award: The Rainbow Room - A perfect outdoor view of the entire city, and also has an incredible Halibut. (Empire State building and City scape)
Best Desert Award: The Milk and Creme Bar - Perfect soft serves mixed with your favorite cereal and fun toppings. Hope has talked about it ever day since we went. (Soft serves cone)
Best Brunch: Hotel Chantelle - Small hole in the wall type restaurant, but it was beautiful, it had bottomless brunch and it had the most beautiful French toast we have ever seen. (Pink Venue)
Most Shocking: Lombardi's Pizza - We needed good Pizza after trying the awful Milk soft serve and wound up here. When we walked in we were not only shocked by how good the pizza was, but the inside was beaitful covered in ornate mirrors, trinkets and chandeliers.
Korean BBQ: Jongro BBQ - we tried Korean BBQ for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised.
Hole in the Wall: 27 Morton - A quaint restaurant that not only had great coffee, but fantastic exotic foods.
Worst: Milk Bar - everyone always talked about it, but we did not like it at all. So bad we threw most of the ice cream away. Tased like you were eating salt water ice cream.
Work
Work was a little challenging this week, especially considering I was sick and had to go home a few times. I spent the majority of the week measuring new garments and putting away a few into my new organization system. I have on week left and I am definitely not ready.
Living in the City
We went on several adventures this week. This weekend we went to the Vessel- fun fact the elevator was broken we had to walk all the way to the top, but we got to watch the sunset from here so that was worth it. We went to snark park which is an all white interactive art installation in Hudson yards. Hope's favorite color is whit so it was a lot of fun. We also walked around china town for a little bit and found a random Christmas shop and basically acted like children the entire time so that was fun. We also went to magic rooftop bar, and got one last view of the Empire State building at night.
