The Last Semester

Well, the day came. Today was my last official day as an Auburn student. The moment is bittersweet, but I'm excited to stay in Auburn till May and settle down a bit before jumping straight into the real world. Walking in the May ceremony allows me to walk with the majority of my class and participate in the annual fashion show in April.

In true Suzanna Rita fashion, I wanted to give you a little recap of what this semester held and all the wonderful memories that made it one of the best semesters yet.

August:

I came in from my internship ready to take on the world. I walked onto campus August 19 as a senior, but I felt like a bright-eyed bushy-tailed freshman all over again.

I lived in my own apartment for the firsts time in college.

Walter started his freshman year at UT and now calls me at least once a day to ask me college questions, and you better belive I absolutely love it.

Auburn won their season opener against Oregon and thus began the year I didn't have to work football games that is the first time since freshman year!

September:

Home games every weekend and lots of toilet paper on the plains.

October:

I traveled to my first Auburn away game and got to go to Death Valley with my friend from high school Megan.

Celebrated Caroline's 21st birthday...finally!

Best College Halloween!

I won second place for the door decorating contest at my apartment complex.

November:

I got to walk in the tiger walk and run the coast guard flag in front of the football team. My dad even came to town to support me!

I was published in the Auburn Circle, which is a student-run magazine. Two of my designs were featured in this year's edition!

I got glasses because I found out earlier in the semester that I have astigmatism.

We won my senior iron bowl and I got to storm the field.

December:

I took my last undergraduate class.

I got my class ring!

I took the last final of my undergrad career!

So, here's to always remembering to keep one foot in front of the other, and your heels as high as your standards...xoxo Suzanna Rita
