So, first of all let us all take a moment to look at all the positives. 1. I mean since it is singles awareness day we can now figure out if that secret crush is indeed single. 2. (and obviously way better) it's half price chocolate day tomorrow!!! I don't know about ya'll but that just makes my week, I'll just go stock up on dove chocolate-I mean what could be better than inspirational and positive things while eating chocolate? nothing.
Back to the point though, I think the point of Valentines Day has really gotten lost in all the shuffle. Anymore Valentines Day is just a made up holiday for hallmark to make extra money and show off all kinds of crazy gift (and let's be honest, social media has make this 100 times worse).
So, to answer your question no I'm not a bitter single who hates valentines day and everyone's happiness. I am single, but it is by choice and there's not a bitterness to it.
I've never been on a valentines day date and to be honest I've just never really been a fan. Maybe this year I'll start just showing love to the people that are there in my life. I'll be more thankful for the people who have stayed by my side and not worry about the many who haven't.
Valentine's Day has lost its meaning. It was originally the feast day to celebrate love and affection toward anyone not just signifiant others.
Choose to spread love to those who have shown love to you and more importantly to the people who deserve it.
So, with that happy valentines day and I love you all, from the girl who thinks valentines day should be about more that how many flowers Kanye decides to get Kim.
If you're feeling broken hearted this year remember first, you're not alone. Second, you don't need anyone to buy you chocolate and flowers if thats what you want, you can but them yourself. You're strong and independent and you'll be okay.
Remember "He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds" ~Psalm 147:3
Sending {Suzey} sunshine and extra love your way..xoxoxo
