Power in your Pain

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday to you all!

I think we can all agree that there are times in our lives that have been painful and we don't really know what to do or where to go. We all go through struggles sometimes, be they silent struggles or those everyone knows about they still hurt. Many times we find ourselves comparing our struggles to others and thinking "their life is perfect", and "I wish my life was that easy". Do we really know what everyone else is going through all the time though? Honestly, probably not. The age of social media has made it so incredibly easy for us to think someone's life is perfect because they choose what they want us to see, and in a sense WHO it is they want us to see. We need to stop judging people and acting like we know everything there is to know about them, because the only person who truly knows all of it-the good, the bad, and the ugly-is them.

Life is by no means bad, but there are certainly worse days than others where we wonder if we really want to crawl out of bed and face it again. Life is this insane roller coaster, some day you feel like you're on top of the world and nothing nor no one can stand in your way and the next, eh maybe not so much. One thing I can say is you feel powerful when things are going great, why not feel powerful when things aren't going so great. There is power and strength in the pain you feel, maybe you don't think so today but maybe someday. Until that day comes try and take all the negative energy and channel it into something amazing. Find something you love no matter how little it may seem; going to the gym, drawing, knitting, cleaning. Whatever it may be find your thing and do it next time life gets you down.

You may be wondering what's my thing? I go to the gym and to be honest I go pretty frequently not to go to the gym but to expend the negativity going on around me. I can guarantee you no matter how angry, sad or frustrated I was when I walked into the gym by the time I walked out I felt better maybe not the happy, giddy, sparkly tutu loving 5 year old Suzanna that some of you know but sometimes BETTER is all you need. Granted sometimes I did stay at the gym for about 3 hours but sometimes that's what it takes. (you can absolutely laugh at me for the next bit) I have definitely cried at the gym, it happens to the best of us, I was playing racket ball it was really embarrassing but here we are now... better.

Life doesn't have to be rainbows, butterflies and {Suzey} sunshine all the time-in fact I can tell you right now it wont be. Life gets tough but all you can do is pick yourself up and go on because in Him you will find the strength to make it though.

Until next time.....Sending some {Suzey} sunshine your way
