How to "Bullet Journal"

As promised! My bullet journal is my entire life in a nutshell. It is not only my calendar, but it is also how I keep track of habits such as sleeping, working out, cleaning and so much more! This simple blog will teach you how to personalize you very own bullet journal and hopefully feel a little bit more in control of your life.

The opening page to my journal is a simple 2018 page which opens up into my goals, moods, and other things to know throughout the whole year. Here are my "2018" year round pages.

Within each month I make my own calendar and every once in a while I like to change up how I set up the calendar, but here is how I chose to set up June. I added a lot of fun colors because it now officially feels like summer.

Next, I include a page where I can put important dates to remember, with a birthday section and I also now have a work schedule on the coordinating page. As someone who loves to write I also absolutely love quotes, even when they are cheesy so a favorite page for me is also the quotes page. Some months tend to have more quotes than others, hopefully I'll find a lot of great ones in June.

Now, my favorite page, my sleep log. As I'm sure you can see I have a terrible sleeping schedule. Even though it is not the best I do like to be able to keep track of what sleep I am getting. This is probably one of the pages that takes the longest to make.

I also am religious about keeping track of my mood. I do keep a month mood tracker as well as a full year tracker. I like to do this because sometimes its nice to look at one at a time and sometimes you just need to see the bigger picture. I also love to let my creativity run wild with the different shapes I chose to do for my month mood tracker. This month I did ice creams because who doesn't love Ice cream in the summer.

A newer page I have started is a "thankful page". This page is meant to hold one thing that was good or that I am thankful for in every day of the month. This page helps me to always find a silver lining even if it isn't the best day. If you chose to do just one thing, this would be my biggest suggestion because it has absolutely helped my positive outlook on life.

The next most important page to me is my life tracker page. This page keeps track of the number of meals I eat, if I drank a full bottle of water for the day, if I made my bed and anything else I deem important enough to keep track of. This page can include as little or as much as you want. During the school year I even track when I go to class on this page! It's totally up to you! During the school year I have a cleaning log to remind myself of specific areas to clean. I keep this during the school year because living in an apartment nearly on my own I tend to do a lot more heavy duty cleaning by myself.

This month I have also chosen to keep a log of finances, since it is only the second of the month I haven't filled anything out yet, but I though this would be a good way to keep track of my different accounts. I also have a small page with all the things I need to spend my money on and all the things I want to spend my money on.

I also keep a log of all my blogs,  for "Little Ray of Suzey" and for "SuzannaRita Styles", which is this blog. That way if I ever have an idea for a blog but not enough time to write it I won't forget. Now I get to check off that I wrote my blog about how to make your own Bullet Journal!

A bullet journal is a great way to keep track of everything in your life and to keep it all in one place! Another thing I usually use my journal for is to keep lists such as travel ad packing lists, ot to-do for the day lists! To make my life easier I created templates for most of my pages simply on Microsoft word, but if you wanted you could do the whole thing by hand. The personalization is the beauty of it! I hope you enjoy making a bullet journal just as much as I do!! Feel free to share all of your beautiful bullet journals with me!

So, here's to always remembering to keep one foot in front of the other, and your heels as high as your standards...xoxo Suzanna Rita
