Eighth Week to West Coast

Updated: Aug 31, 2019

This week I had to leave the city I love so much to travel to the other side of the country. It’s my favorite week of the year!!! ITS LEAP WEEK!!! GET HYPED!!

Coffee

We squeezed one coffee adventure in before I left this week!

We finally made it to Optimistic Coffee. We waited three weeks for this experience and unfortunately it was incredibly disappointing. My cousins Victoria and Patricia got to come with us to that made it a little bit more exciting. I got turmeric iced coffee with honey--I don't recommend.

Food

We went on three food adventures this week!

Hopie was off Monday so she came and had lunch with me we went to tous les jours. Probably the best bread we’ve ever tasted. They had every color and kind of bread your heart desires.

Maddie, Hope and I had our last dinner together as three at the Starlight diner. The ambiance was cute the food was okay, the desert was except and the company was priceless.

Lastly, Hope and I finally got a chance to go to Do, which is edible raw cookie dough served like ice cream. We were not disappointed, but we were surprised by the portion sizes.

Work

I hated that this work week got cut one day short because I was heading to LEAP. It made me realize that after I come back I’ll only have two weeks left in heaven. This week at work I did a lot of measurement work, but I also got to work on my internship project. My project was to get rid of any unnecessary samples and reorganize a drawer of all the samples that were needed in a way that was easy to get to them. My blue dress this week was made my Rachel-who makes her own clothes and wears them to work neatly every day. I also took a picture with the two auburn grads that work at Babyfair. I got to sit in on a meeting where we bought and talked about new prints for our new line. Overall I had another amazing week at Babyfair!

Adventure

This week was our last week with Maddie which was incredibly sad, her internship ended and she’s headed back to Knoxville, but I see lots of adventures in our future. I got to go back to high line and the vessel with Patricia. Maddie and I went to a pink record store called Stranded Records and we went by Katz Diner from where Harry Met Sally. Patricia and I also went to Panna 2, which is the most Christmas lights I’ve ever seen in my life. Now I'm jetting to LA and starting my 6th LEAP week, stay tuned to see what happens next!

So, here's to always remembering to keep one foot in front of the other, and your heels as high as your standards...xoxo Suzanna Rita
