A Patriotic Sixth Week

This week was jam packed with red, white and blue. From fourth of July looks all week, to fireworks and friends, to the women winning the World Cup.

Coffee Adventures

This week we got to go on several coffee adventures and even better we added a few new smiling faces.

We tired Bluelane Coffee with Hope's mom, I had an Aussie Latte, which is a latte with a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream. It was good, but not our favorite place we've been.

We went to Corvo Coffee, they serve Colombe coffee. I got a draft late with caramel and it was so good I got two, but Hope wasn't convinced it was strong enough.

For the fourth of July a lot of the smaller coffee places were closed so we wound up at Starbucks, but decided to go on a crepe adventure instead! AMAZING!

Over the weekend we had our biggest coffee adventure crew yet. Maddie and Clint both joined us at Madman Espresso, I got a Vietnamese iced coffee. This has condensed milk, a double shot of espresso and drip coffee--I expected a lot more from it but it was not a favorite.

On Sunday we went on two coffee adventures because we were exhausted from he long weekend. We went to brunch and got coffee at Friedman's.I got hot chocolate because I wasn't quite ready for coffee yet. The brunch there is phenomenal.

We also went to Steamy Hallows, this is a Harry Potter themed pop up coffee shop. Hope and I exchanged the Love Potion coffee and Butter Brew coffee, while both tasted good the experience was the reason you really need to go.

Food

We tried all kinds of fantastic and well, disappointing food to say the least this week, here is the breakdown.

The most disappointing by far was Blacktap,if you don't know this restaurant is world famous for its crazy shakes. Unfortunately the shakes fell flat as they were full of foam, beautiful to look at terrible to drink. The burgers and fries on the other hand are to die for.

Our amazing crepe adventure place is called Chocolate Dip. They have three different chocolate fountains and they know how to use them. They also have waffles and pancakes, stay tuned because we will be back!

Two new pizza places we tried this week were &Pizza and Bleaker Street Pizza. Bleaker Street Pizza is delicious New York Style Pizza, while &Pizza is subway for pizza.

Lastly, who doesn't love a good brunch? We got to got o brunch twice this week, we went to Pennsylvania 6 NYC and Friendman's. They are right next to each other and both places were incredible. I got chicken and waffles at both and they were to die for.

Work

This week was a pretty short week at work because of the fourth of July, I was absolutely fine with that, it gave us a chance to explore a few new cool places this week. I did. make sure to wear my red white and blue every day and it was noted. I mainly worked on measuring a batch of samples that came in a mess from the factory, but the most fun thing I got to do this week was design a scrunch! We are now including scrunches without dresses and I got to draw it up on the computer.

Fun

Our favorite thing to do in our free time is to explore the city! With this week being the fourth of July we decided to go to satin island and go to the beach with Maddie. I can't think of a better way to spend my fourth of July in New York than with Maddie and Hope.

We got to try lots of fun new things this weekend that I highly recommends trying.

We went to the American Museum of Natural History and had a {Whaley} great time.

We went all the way to Queens to watch the new Spiderman far from home movie, it was absolutely fantastic.

We went to the Monarch Rooftop, and its so close to the Empire State Building you can almost reach put and touch it. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. I got to meet up with my cousin Mariana there so that was very fun.

We watched the Bachelorette with Hope's mom.

We shopped, walked along Highland Park, oh and I busted my zipper while shopping. Not to worry, I was able to repair it because #fashionmajor.

Since the women won the World Cup, Maddie and I recreated a picture we took back when we did our last soccer camp together, bet you can't spot the difference.

So, here's to always remembering to keep one foot in front of the other, and your heels as high as your standards...xoxo Suzanna Rita
